In 2004 Kevin founded his own consulting firm, The Katalyst Consultancy (the 'K' is for Kevin) through which he provides inspiration and encouragement to people ages six to 96, businesses and corporations around the world. It is Kevin's belief that sports and play are essential aspects of the human condition through which we learn cooperation, compassion and interpersonal communication. Children of course learn many lessons through play, but Kevin believes adults also need to make time to 'play' in their daily lives. On Kevin's Earth we would be all celebrating our physicality and stamping out hunger and homelessness at the same time. It is difficult not to embrace such a beautiful vision.
"…to realize one's destiny is a person's only obligation." A quote from one of Kevin's favorite books (The Alchemist). For the past 25 years Mr. Kevin Carroll has been teaching the world how to chase and realize its dreams. That's quite a destiny if you ask us. So tonight when you get home after a hard day at work find time to play a game, take a walk or shoot some hoops with your kids and dream of a better world.

Nothing is more inspirational than raising yourself out of your situation, taking a look around and saying, "I can be more…" Reading the exploits of our next visionary, one can see how a single person can affect positive change in the world. Kevin Carroll, author of the highly successful book, Rules of the Red Rubber Ball is such a person. Kevin has been coming to us for his eyewear for the better part of a decade and we are always glad to see him. Watching Kevin take his dream from Portland to the rest of the world has been an inspiration to many of us here at Reynolds. It is with great pleasure that we present his story here for you.
Reading the man's resume is like reading an unending list of dream jobs. It is easy to see why ESPN Books was eager to buy the rights of his first self-published book and grant him contracts for two more. Among his more impressive list of accomplishments Kevin has been the inspiration behind the Lance Armstrong wrist band phenomenon, a speaker at the United Nations, and has his quotes printed on 17 million Starbucks coffee mugs across the nation. In addition to speaking at least six languages he also finds the time to help build playgrounds and sports fields for children across the globe. This just scratches the surface though.
